Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Moksa is hands down the best vegan restaurant in Bali for me. The food is absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and the portions are very generous, truly satisfying. The atmospgere is calm, warm and perfect for a relaxed meal in Ubud. If I ever come back to Bali, I will definitely return. Highly recommend."
"I had tempeh spare ribs, spinach-eggplant lasagne and mango-passionfruit panna cotta to conclude my dinner! Everything was unbelievably good and I truly enjoyed it. Would love to try more food in the future. Eating while sitting in the serene ambience totally made my dinner experience something I would remember the best! Thank you, Moksa. See you again <3"
"I went here multiple times on my trip; the staff are so friendly and kind and the menu is impressive. Great mix of raw and heated food to suit everyone, and all the food is creative and thought out with Balinese and western dishes. The desserts are also standout. Even the peppermint tea was one of the best I’ve ever had! Highly recommend to vegan and non vegans to try. featured: lasagne, coconut and strawberry pancakes, and jackfruit Caesar salad. Only thing to note would be that if you want to see the rice fields, go in the daytime as it is dimly lit and cosy at night."
"I had an absolutely amazing experience taking the raw vegan cooking course at Made at Moksa. It was such a special and enriching class, and I learned so much throughout the entire experience. I was incredibly lucky to be the only participant in the course, which made it feel like a private, personalized session. Made is so generous with his knowledge and truly passionate about what he teaches. He took the time to explain everything in detail and even printed out recipes for me to take home, which I really appreciated. If you’re interested in raw vegan cuisine and learning in a warm, welcoming, and inspiring environment, I can’t recommend this course enough. It was truly a highlight of my time in Ubud!"
"Had dinner and breakfast here. Honestly it is perfect! The food is so nicely done and the staff is very friendly. We had dinner with lots of smoothies for around 20€, it was delicious. As a non vegan myself, I mostly avoid only vegan options but this was just so good we had to come back. Lots of flavors and especially recommend the raw pizza."
"I took the heated cooking class with Made and it was fabulous. He shared so many valuable insights and I learnt techniques which I had previously been unable to master. We made such a lot of recipes with the highlight being eating it all. Made was a patient and skilled chef teaching all of what he has learnt himself across many years. The location is peaceful and tranquil and it is a perfect activity that I would recommend to everyone. Thank you Made and Moksa for your generosity."
"An absolutely sublime experience! The setting is peaceful and full of natural beauty, and every dish is a little plant-based masterpiece — creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. You can really feel the care and respect behind every detail. The staff are kind, attentive, and genuinely pleasant, which makes the whole experience even more special. A true gem in Ubud that deserves all the recognition it can get! Stéphane (The tattooed man from France )"
"In general, I like the place and the food is delicious. I want to comment on nasi goreng: It feels too greasy, too deep-fried, and doesn't feel like a healthy meal. I didn't want to finish eating. Laksa noodles - okay, interesting, it was even a bit spicy for me, but someone likes it. And another day I tried banana pancakes, they were very tasty, but there was too little sauce, so it felt dry."
